Reinhart shareholders Pamela Nissen, Michael Joliat, Peter Rosene, John Mossberg, Amanda Cefalu, John Barlament and Stacie Kalmer made an impact at the 69th annual International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) Annual Conference in Boston, speaking on topics ranging from litigation to fiduciary responsibility. The conference, held in early October, brought together more than 5,000 employee benefits professionals worldwide to learn about the latest trends and developments in the industry.

The firm’s attorneys spoke on the following topics:

Pam is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice and Multiemployer Plan (Taft-Hartley) Team. She works extensively with jointly-trusteed benefit plans in a broad spectrum of matters and issues. Pam has served as plan counsel to pension, health and welfare, vacation, apprenticeship training and industry promotion plans.

Mike is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice and Multiemployer Plan (Taft-Hartley) Team, where he helps clients navigate complex regulatory issues. He primarily acts as fund counsel to multiemployer (Taft-Hartley) health, retirement, apprenticeship, vacation and other benefits plans. Mike advises plan Trustees on ERISA compliance, the Internal Revenue Code, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA and other federal law.

Pete is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice and Multiemployer Plan (Taft-Hartley) Team, specializing in assisting clients with all aspects of ERISA plan compliance. Peter advises in federal fiduciary law, including investment contracts and investment monitoring, all aspects of federal health care compliance, pension plan design/compliance issues and vendor contracting.

John is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice, where he serves as lead counsel to regional and national multiemployer plan clients. He represents multiemployer clients throughout the United States focusing primarily on plans in the construction industry, but also represents clients in the retail food and printing industries.

Amanda is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits and Litigation practices, where she handles ERISA litigation and counseling, Taft-Hartley issues, employment law and commercial litigation. She represents and counsels both employers and clients in discrimination claims, retaliation, sexual harassment, FMLA, wrongful discharge and non-compete claims, among others.

John is a shareholder and member of Reinhart's Employee Benefits Practice. He practices in all areas of employee benefits law, but with a focus on health and welfare plan matters. John counsels employers, plan fiduciaries, multiemployer plans, pharmacy benefit managers, insurers, insurance brokers, third-party administrators and other plan service providers on a range of employee benefit matters.

Stacie is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice, where she focuses her practice on advising Taft-Hartley multiemployer plans, but also works closely with single-employer, corporate clients on an array of employee benefit plan issues. She counsels clients on employee plan design, compliance and administration, and advises plan fiduciaries on fiduciary compliance and corporate governance issues.
