  3. Peter M. Rosene

As an experienced shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice and Multiemployer Plan (Taft-Hartley) Team, Peter Rosene understands how benefits policies directly impact people in pivotal ways. He specializes in assisting clients with all aspects of ERISA plan compliance.

Pete is a skilled counselor in federal fiduciary law, including investment contracts and investment monitoring, all aspects of federal health care compliance, pension plan design/compliance issues and vendor contracting. From finding efficiencies in health care delivery and pricing to new models of risk sharing for retirement systems, he continually seeks innovative solutions for his clients. Pete brings best practices to help them capitalize on opportunities while navigating the rapidly changing legal landscape.

His deep knowledge of the law is noted across the industry. Pete represented the Retiree Representative to the Central States Pension Plan in their application to the U.S. Treasury Department under the Multiemployer Plan Reform Act. And in four cases, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota has appointed him to assume the role of fiduciary for distressed or abandoned employee benefit plans under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Labor.

As a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, Pete has access to a network of experts in complex benefits matters and stays abreast of the very latest legislative updates. He is a frequent national speaker on employee benefit and fiduciary law topics, primarily with the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP). Pete has delivered more presentations for the Foundation than any other lawyer in its history and generally teaches nearly 40 hours of continuing education a year for the organization.

Pete is unfailingly dependable, approachable and dedicated to building long-term relationships with clients that foster their success.

Away from the office, Pete enjoys travel, hunting, fishing, tending his vegetable garden and spending time with his young grandchildren.
