  3. Reinhart General Counsel Deisinger Wins Election to Become President-Elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin

MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. today announced that Francis W. Deisinger, the firm's General Counsel and a shareholder in its Litigation Practice, has been elected as the next President-Elect of the State Bar of Wisconsin.

He will serve a one-year term as President-Elect, beginning July 1, 2015, before succeeding Ralph Cagle as President on July 1, 2016.

Deisinger focused his campaign around two principles: delivering value to State Bar members and service to the cause of justice.

"The dynamics of practicing law are evolving at a rapid pace, and it is essential for lawyers to adapt to and thrive within these new realities," said Deisinger. "One of my goals will be for the Bar to support attorneys at every stage of their career with the resources, services and support that will help them be successful, ethical professionals."

All attorneys licensed to practice in Wisconsin—nearly 25,000 in all—are members of the State Bar of Wisconsin. The Bar annually elects a President-Elect, Treasurer and Judicial Council representative. Voting takes place in April.

"I want great things both for and from our profession and our members, and I will do my best to help us achieve those things," said Deisinger. "Being elected to this position by my peers is extremely humbling, and I will not take the office or my obligations lightly."

The State Bar of Wisconsin assists Wisconsin attorneys to meet and maintain the highest standards of competency, technical skill and ethical conduct. It also strives to ensure that Wisconsin citizens have access to legal services, and to a justice system that affords prompt and fair resolution of disputes.
