- Reinhart Celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day with Commitment to Service
Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. today announced it has organized a day of service and volunteerism for its attorneys and staff on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, in collaboration with the non-profit organizations United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, as well as City Year Milwaukee. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a paid day off, firm-sponsored holiday at Reinhart.
Reinhart attorneys and staff will have the opportunity to volunteer at one of two locations in Milwaukee on Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, where they will assist with school beautification projects including painting, organizing and cleaning at the following locations:
- Lincoln Avenue Elementary School, 1817 W. Lincoln Ave., a United Way Community School
- Rufus King High School, 1801 W. Olive St., in collaboration with City Year Milwaukee
"Our commitment to serve and give back to our community extends all year round, but we felt it was important to organize a formal day of service and encourage everyone to volunteer on a day that symbolizes citizen activity and volunteer service," said Reinhart CEO Jerry Janzer. "We are proud to support different organizations in the community that embody Dr. King's vision and principles."
The move is a reflection of Reinhart's long-standing commitment to diversity, which includes such objectives as building relationships in the community and with law schools to advance a diverse, professional workforce; providing opportunities through women’s initiatives, ethnic bar programs and multicultural law student associations; and regularly sponsoring impactful organizations, scholarships and events.
Similar volunteer events are also organized for Reinhart's additional offices across Wisconsin and nationwide.
