Vince Beres has more than 30 years of experience in corporate law, where he focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions for family-owned businesses. He is deeply committed to forging long-term relationships with his clients, and to help families navigate the legal complexities of business ownership.

As a member of Reinhart’s Tax and Corporate Law practices, Vince represents clients ranging from closely held partnerships, LLCs and S corporations to large national and multinational manufacturing and food and beverage companies, among others. Along with mergers and acquisitions, he advises on contracts, tax matters, succession planning and general corporate matters.

Before joining Reinhart, Vince practiced as a certified public accountant. That proficiency, combined with his experience growing up in a family-owned business, make him especially equipped to serve his clients. He is dedicated to understanding their businesses and the unique family dynamics involved in each situation.

Vince is a frequent speaker on various tax and business planning issues. He is also committed to supporting his community and has been actively involved with arts organizations, United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County and Catholic Charities.

In his free time, Vince enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and golfing.

Matters

  • Assisted a food manufacturing client in the acquisition, development and financing of a new manufacturing facility as part of a strategic effort to help the client obtain greater market share.
  • Counseled a management group in the buyout of a manufacturing supplier to the airline industry, enabling the client to increase its market share through product development and greater geographical scope.
  • Structured a closely held medical technology company’s business and family succession plans, including exit strategies, enabling the client to minimize tax liability and more effectively achieve business and personal financial goals.
  • Prepared a large distribution company and its owners for the sale of the business along with finding a suitable buyer. His efforts maximized the purchase price received on the sale of the company and rewarded the owners for their past achievements.
  • Served as an arbitrator and successfully resolved various purchase price adjustment disputes raised in connection with a business acquisition.
  • Successfully represented a large retail company in a tax controversy with the Internal Revenue Service and in planning to minimize future taxes.
