Paul J. Stockhausen is a leader of the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation legal service and a shareholder in the firm's Intellectual Property and Litigation Practices. Paul advises and assists clients on intellectual property and technology matters, running the gamut from conception and development through licensing and commercialization to litigation and dispute resolution.

He has litigated patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright cases throughout the country, including cases in California, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Florida.

Paul serves clients involved in a wide array of technology areas, including:

  • Health care technology companies
  • Electrical and mechanical designers and manufacturers
  • Software companies
  • Biotech companies
  • Aerospace engineering and manufacturing companies
  • Telematics companies
  • Paul brings a particular specialization in electronic control, computer and software related technologies.

In addition to his litigation practice, Paul brings the perspective of litigation with the full awareness and understanding of how deals can break down or go wrong that litigation brings to counseling clients on the development, protection and commercialization of intellectual property. He developed commercialization and licensing strategies for several national software and technology companies and advises numerous business clients on intellectual property protection. Paul serves as a counselor, negotiator and advocate for clients looking to preserve and monetize their intellectual property assets.

Paul is a member of Reinhart’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) Team and can advise clients on the technical and regulatory requirements, challenges and opportunities of AI technology.
