As Chief Financial Officer at Reinhart, Matt Katz leads across a variety of areas with one ultimate goal: to provide expertise, technologies and efficiencies that foster excellent client service. Along with handling the financial planning, reporting, analysis, budgeting, compensation and accounting operations of the firm, he also oversees the firm’s Information Governance Team, Legal Project Management and Information Resource Center (IRC).

Matt is a leader in change management and firm development, leading the effort to continually evolve the firm through the implementation of enterprise level software, instituting an Information Governance Team, and driving a message of constant innovation and improvement. He also works to enhance the firm’s focus on client centricity by continual attention to internal service standards and team development.

Matt works closely with the firm’s board of directors, CEO, practice group leaders and administrative executives to evaluate and implement firm strategic initiatives. He excels in developing and leveraging relationships to streamline processes and ensure Reinhart is innovating at a pace that meets and exceeds client expectations.

Prior to joining Reinhart, Matt spent 10 years as a chief operating officer in separate roles in the legal and accounting service industry. In 2011, he received the Quest Award, a national recognition from the Association of Legal Administrators, for his dedication to the pursuit of professional excellence.

Matt is active in the local and business community. He has served as a planning commissioner for The City of Delafield and The Village of Summit, Treasurer on the Lower Nemahbin Lake Association, Treasurer to the Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators and serves on the board for SHARP Literacy, a nonprofit organization offering art, science and technology-focused programs to sharpen critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills among local students.

Away from the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid golfer.
