- Matthew J. Ackmann
Matt Ackmann is part of Reinhart’s Trusts and Estates Practice, focusing primarily on estate and tax planning for business owners and wealthy families. Licensed in both Wisconsin and Illinois, Matt works to ensure his clients’ legacies are protected and their beneficiaries, whether they be family members, friends and/or charities, are efficiently provided for. He believes in letting his clients guide discussions so that he fully understands their concerns and plans for business, medical and financial decisions. People spend their lifetimes building businesses, investments and other assets, and Matt leverages his skills to offer them peace of mind about the future.
Matt is efficient and responsive, able to distill the complex tax planning issues for high-net-worth and closely held business owners into easily digestible information. He recognizes that every client, family and situation is unique and requires acute attention to detail. Matt also advises clients regarding the formation and administration of private foundations and other tax-exempt organizations. In addition, Matt helps clients create specialized trusts to hold firearm collections and helps clients navigate the rigorous reporting requirements associated with certain regulated firearms.
Away from the office, Matt enjoys hunting, being outdoors, spending time with family and trying to keep up with his toddler.
