David Peterson is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Litigation Practice, where he provides clients with creative strategies that contribute to their business success. He primarily handles business litigation and contract disputes in the manufacturing, real estate, banking and service provider industries. He also represents clients in corporate governance disputes and tax assessment valuation matters.

Dave’s significant trial, mediation and arbitration experience helps him anticipate challenges and see possibilities for his clients. He excels in working closely with opposing counsel to keep cases moving forward efficiently. He is a practical, level-headed and nimble litigator who quickly finds solutions to his client’s problems so they can return their focus to their business.

His accounting background equips Dave to handle complex post-closing purchase price disputes and understand the multiple variables and financial intricacies that can impact a client’s overall goals and vision.

Both David and his son are Eagle Scouts, and he serves on the board of directors for the Potawatomi Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. In his free time, he enjoys golf, water skiing, downhill skiing and spending time with family and friends.

  • Represents companies, boards and individuals in matters relating to corporate governance, control and minority shareholder claims
  • Defends professionals against claims of negligence or malpractice in provision of services
  • Represents property owners in challenging real estate-related matters, including environmental remediation claims and property tax assessment matters
  • Defends distributors and manufacturers in cases alleging injury from use of products
