John Mossberg is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice, where he serves as lead counsel to regional and national multiemployer plan clients. His extensive experience equips him to help his multiemployer plan clients comply with intricate benefits laws and achieve their strategic objectives. He is a confident legal partner in this complex area, committed to providing the guidance and leadership that clients need to make sound tactical decisions.

John counsels boards of trustees that administer multiemployer plans governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), including health and welfare, defined benefit, defined contribution and apprenticeship training funds. He represents multiemployer clients throughout the United States focusing primarily on plans in the construction industry, but also represents clients in the retail food and printing industries.

John offers clients additional value by proactively identifying potential opportunities and suggesting options that consider both short and long-term benefits and risks. He enjoys his role as a long-standing legal partner to the trustees and collaborates with administrators, actuaries, accountants, consultants and other service providers to provide the best possible outcomes for his clients.

John frequently speaks on fiduciary and other benefits issues at various seminars, including the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans’ annual conference.

In his free time, he enjoys running, reading and spending time with his wife and four children.
