MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) shareholders Adam R. Konrad and Benjamin T. This will be Kurten's first time serving on the board and a re-election for Konrad, who served on the board in recent years.

The IPS's mission is to:

  • Promote understanding of and expertise in public and private international law among Wisconsin lawyers and the public.
  • Monitor and respond to relevant legislative and judicial developments.
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas among practitioners, academics and law students interested in international law and practice.

Konrad is a shareholder in Reinhart's Business Law, International and Tax Practices. He advises foreign and domestic companies, private equity investors and entrepreneurs in a wide range of industries on mergers and acquisitions, and international tax matters. As part of a Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship, Konrad interned with the Bundeszentralamt für Steuern/German Federal Central Tax Office and the Berlin offices of a large international law firm. He is proficient in German.

He has more than 12 years of broad-based immigration law experience. Kurten's experience includes assisting large multinational corporations, small private companies and individual investors to successfully navigate the complex U.S. immigration laws in order to meet their business needs through such tasks as: transferring international personnel; hiring foreign-born talent with hard-to-find skill sets to fill professional positions; and establishing new U.S. investment enterprises or branch operations. He regularly works with clients from a variety of different industries, including manufacturing, health care, research, financial services, technology, education, entertainment, professional sports, consumer goods and agriculture.

Reinhart's International practice provides a variety of services, including assisting foreign businesses in their acquisition of U.S. companies and helping U.S. businesses conduct operations overseas.
