Reinhart shareholder Mark Cameli has won the 2016 Pro Bono Publico award from the Milwaukee Bar Association.

Three Pro Bono Publico awards are given annually to a lawyer, law student and organization whose work increases access to justice for low-income residents or promotes public causes.

The criteria for the award includes developing innovative ways to deliver volunteer legal services or improve access to justice, participating in activities that provide legal services to the poor or increase access to justice, and working on legislation that increases access to justice, according to the Milwaukee Bar Association.

Cameli primarily litigates corporate compliance. He also leads the firm's Diversity and Pro Bono committees and has worked with the U.S. Attorney's Project Safe Neighborhood, helping award federal grants aimed at reducing gun violence and gang activity. He was recently named a "Leader in the Law" by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Cameli and the other winners will be recognized at the MBA’s State of the Court Luncheon on Oct. 27 at the Wisconsin Club.
