MILWAUKEE – Jennifer R. D'Amato, Frederic G. Friedman and Nathan K. Johnson, attorneys in the Trusts and Estates Practice of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c., have each been named a FIVE STAR Wealth ManagerSM for 2010.

Crescendo Business Services, an independent market research company, asked more than 29,000 high net worth consumers in the Milwaukee area to evaluate their wealth managers. They also asked 2,000 area financial services professionals to evaluate wealth managers with whom they have worked. The final list was reviewed by a panel of local financial services industry experts and will be published in the July 2010 issue of Milwaukee Magazine.

D'Amato is a member of the firm's Board of Directors, a shareholder in the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice and a member of the firm's Tax-Exempt Organizations team. Her clients include closely held business owners, wealthy families, trusts, estates, private foundations and public charities. Her practice focuses on estate and business succession planning; estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues; sophisticated gift techniques; family limited partnerships and limited liability companies; charitable planning; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; estate and trust administration; executive compensation; and will, trust and tax controversy matters. D'Amato has lectured as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Business in the Masters in Taxation Program.

Friedman is a shareholder in the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice, which he previously chaired for 15 years. He advises individuals, closely held business owners and organizations on estate and succession planning issues and on the tax consequences of estate planning techniques. Considered a close confidant and trusted advisor by his clients, Friedman works directly with closely held business owners, guiding them on the most effective ways to transfer value and control of their businesses to successive generations. An excellent listener, he also works with executives and professionals to create estate plans that maximize their personal objectives and minimize tax consequences. Friedman is a founder of Leave A Legacy Wisconsin, an organization dedicated to promoting charitable giving through estate planning.

Johnson is a member of the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice and a member of the firm's Tax-Exempt Organizations team. He serves a wide range of clients, including individuals, closely held businesses and charitable organizations. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and spent several years working as an accountant. This experience, combined with his knowledge of estate planning and tax law, enables Johnson to recognize the goals and challenges of clients and to create appropriate financial solutions. Johnson also speaks on a variety of professional topics to business audiences including financial institutions and professional organizations.
