  3. Reinhart Welcomes Back James Bedore as Of Counsel

MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) announces that Jim Bedore has rejoined the firm as of counsel in its Corporate Law and Securities practices. Bedore, an attorney with Reinhart from 1985 to 2018, returns to the firm after serving as executive vice president, secretary and general counsel of NCR Corporation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jim back to Reinhart,” said Reinhart CEO Al Orr. “His time as general counsel to a global corporation brings invaluable perspective and experience that will greatly benefit our clients, especially those navigating complex corporate transactional matters.”

At the time of joining the company, NCR Corporation was an $8 billion NYSE company with approximately 35,000 employees operating in more than 120 countries. In his role, Bedore oversaw the company’s worldwide legal, compliance, governance and risk functions during a period of dynamic activity, including numerous acquisitions and all legal aspects of the spin-off of NCR Atleos, the company’s $4 billion ATM and self-service banking business.

“I’m excited to return to Reinhart,” said Bedore. “My experience as a C-suite executive at NCR gave me unique perspective on the legal and business challenges leading companies and executives face, and I look forward to applying those insights to advise companies and their executives and boards of directors.”

Based in Milwaukee, Bedore advises clients on a wide range of corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, private equity transactions and other financing arrangements. He frequently works with companies on securities compliance, corporate governance, responding to shareholder activism, shareholder engagement and executive compensation, and counsels boards of directors, special committees and other board committees in transactions, investigations, shareholder and activist investor matters and corporate governance issues.

During his prior time at Reinhart, Bedore was consistently recognized by his peers and national and international rating agencies such as Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and by Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review as a Wisconsin Top Rated Lawyer.
