ROCKFORD – Jeffery J. Makeever, Chair of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren P.C.'s Intellectual Property Practice and Patent Attorney, will speak at the third annual Go Global conference on April 21-22 in Rockford, Ill. Makeever will speak on intellectual property rights (IPR) infringement.

The conference will feature a variety of respected industry experts who will help attendees explore the underlying benefits of partnering and also navigate through the complex world of global trade. More than 300 attendees will gain insight on current and pending legislation, the process of launching into the global market, identifying various sources of trade and finding resources for financial and legal assistance.

Makeever has more than 15 years experience practicing before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and also previously worked as a design and research engineer in the aerospace industry. He serves a wide range of corporate and university clients in a variety of industries including aerospace, consumer products and components, industrial equipment, and consumer software. He frequently functions as a trusted advisor to senior management and as part of his client's in-house counsel team providing such services as forward planning and the training of engineering and marketing personnel.

Makeever earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from John Marshall Law School and his B.S.E.E. with honors from Ohio Northern University.
