- Reinhart Names Six New Shareholders
MILWAUKEE – Jerome M. Janzer, CEO of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart), announced that six of the firm's attorneys have been named shareholders.
Stephen C. Elliott is a shareholder in the firm's Real Estate Practice. Elliott serves developers of affordable housing, medical office buildings and other types of commercial real estate, landlords and tenants in leasing transactions and borrowers in financing real estate. Elliott is the president of the board of directors of Housing Resources, Inc., a non-profit home buyer education and counseling organization. Prior to practicing law, Elliott worked in sales and customer service for Saris Cycling Group in Madison, and for Trek Bicycle Corporation managing Trek's company-owned retail stores in Madison.
Elliott earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Business Administration).
L. Katie Mason is a shareholder in the firm's Business Reorganization Practice. She serves a range of business clients, including financial institutions, secured and unsecured creditors, debtors and others in bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships and workouts. Mason has particular experience in defending clients in preference litigation under Section 547 of the Bankruptcy Code and in receiverships under Chapter 128 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
Mason earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, Order of the Coif, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Carolyn M. McAllister is a shareholder in the firm's Employee Benefits Practice and a member of the firm's interdisciplinary Executive Compensation team. McAllister advises employers on compliance issues related to 401(k) plans, pension plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements and welfare plans. She also assists clients during Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Labor (DOL) audits of employee benefit plans, and in correcting operational errors under the IRS and DOL correction programs. McAllister trained as an electrical engineer and also worked as an accountant prior to attending law school.
McAllister earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, Order of the Coif, and her B.S.E.E. from Cornell University.
Nathan J. Neuberger is a shareholder in Reinhart's Business Law Practice. Neuberger primarily works on private equity deals and other corporate sale transactions, including leveraged buyouts, strategic mergers and acquisitions, and recapitalizations. In addition, Neuberger advises clients on a variety of general corporate matters, including venture capital investments, startups and capital raising, corporate governance issues, and senior and mezzanine finance. Prior to joining Reinhart, he was an associate with the law firm Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP in Chicago, where he advised on corporate and securities matters.
Neuberger earned his J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School and his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jessica Hutson Polakowski is a shareholder in the firm's Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation and Tax Litigation Practices. In her IP practice, Polakowski advises and assists clients in defending and protecting their intellectual property rights and pursuing issues regarding unfair competition. In addition, she has litigated false advertising claims under the Lanham Act. In her tax practice, Polakowski provides counsel and conducts litigation proceedings on a range of matters for Fortune 500 companies and developers.
Polakowski earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Katie D. Triska is a shareholder in the firm's Labor and Employment Practice. She routinely advises employers on a wide range of employment issues, including successful hiring, employee performance management and termination strategies; development and implementation of anti-harassment and other personnel policies; evaluating reasonable accommodation obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state disability laws; and achieving compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and state leave laws.
Triska earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
