Reinhart Named Pro Bono Publico Award Winner

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Bar Association (MBA) named Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) a 2012 Pro Bono Publico Award winner in the law firm category. Reinhart shareholder Colleen E. Fielkow accepted the award on behalf of the firm at today's 9th Annual State of the Court Luncheon at the Wisconsin Club.

She noted, "We at Reinhart believe the pro bono work of each of our professionals is extraordinary. We seek to both inspire and be inspired by one another and doing pro bono work lifts us all—as a community, as a profession, as a person. Simply put: we do pro bono work for others, for each other, for ourselves."

Fielkow coordinates Reinhart's Pro Bono Program with shareholder Mark A. Cameli and is also a past recipient of Reinhart's "Pro Bono Attorney of the Year" award. This annual award recognizes the firm's attorney or attorneys who best demonstrate a commitment to serving those in need.

For more than 100 years, Reinhart attorneys have been inspired to provide their time and resources for pro bono services. The firm helped found the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee in 1916. Today, Reinhart has a diverse pro bono practice and donates to community service and charitable activities. Reinhart attorneys also volunteer thousands of hours to charitable work through local bar associations and many private causes.

About the MBA Pro Bono Publico Award

The MBA sought award nominees with a demonstrated commitment to working "for the public good" in each of the following categories: 1) individual attorney; 2) law firm, organization, business or association; and 3) law student. The Pro Bono Publico Award selection criteria included the nominee's experience as it relates to:

• Developing innovative ways to deliver volunteer legal services or improve access to justice.
• Participating in activities that provide legal services to the poor or increase access to justice.
• Working on legislation that increases access to justice.
