- Reinhart Makes Long-term Commitment to the Milwaukee Justice Center, Investing $150,000 in Continued Access to Legal Equality
MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c (Reinhart) announces the gift of $150,000 in funding for the Milwaukee Justice Center (MJC) to support its mission to address the unmet legal needs of Milwaukee County's low-income unrepresented litigants through court-based programs and legal resources. The donation, spread over five years at $30,000 annually, will provide the MJC with a steady source of funding to expand their services, reach new communities, and secure long-term stability.
The MJC, a vital community resource, operates solely through the generosity of local lawyers and through individual and corporate donations. Reinhart’s multiyear commitment strongly reinforces the MJC’s ability to provide essential legal self-help resources, one-to-one guidance and ongoing court-based assistance for many years to come.
"We are pleased to commit this support to help ensure the Milwaukee Justice Center’s ability to serve those most in need," said Reinhart CEO Al Orr. "Our pledge recognizes the critical role the MJC plays in our community, and it honors the many Reinhart attorneys who have volunteered there over the years."
The MJC is a collaborative project between the Milwaukee Bar Association, Milwaukee County and Marquette University Law School. In 2022, 350+ volunteers dedicated more than 9,000 hours of pro bono service, totaling more than $1.35 million in free legal services provided to the community.
