MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. represented Greg Knight, a Milwaukee-based independent businessman, and the management of McDermott Cue Manufacturing to complete a Management Buy Out (MBO) of the company on April 10, 2009.

Reinhart attorneys who assisted with the transaction include Dan Cooper, Meghan Shannon, John Kurowski, Dan Kattman and John Van Lieshout. Team members included representatives from Reinhart's broad range of practice areas including business lawtaxintellectual property and litigation.

Dan Cooper, who headed the Reinhart team noted, "Reinhart gets deals done because we leverage our years of experience, contacts and market savvy to ensure that each of our merger and acquisition clients receive the most efficient and effective legal services. We pride ourselves on being smart, hard-working, efficient, responsive and experienced. Above all, we provide real-time, practical business advice. That brings value to our clients."

McDermott Cue Manufacturing is the second acquisition for which Reinhart has assisted Knight with in developing his business portfolio. Previously, Reinhart helped Knight acquire a company that packages and distributes ice melting products and manufactures wood finishing products for the log home industry.

In the McDermott transaction, Greg Knight teamed with McDermott's executive management team of Nat Rosasco, President/CEO, who has been with the company since 2003, and Larry Liebl, Executive Vice President, an industry veteran who joined the company in 1976. Rosasco and Liebl both will continue in their current roles at the helm of the company, and Knight will serve as Director. The company, with 35 employees, sells pool cues worldwide to billiard stores, pool halls, online distributors and big-box sporting goods chains. McDermott is the largest pool cue maker in the United States.
