MILWAUKEE – Attorney Francis W. Deisinger, Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren's General Counsel and a shareholder in the firm's Litigation Practice, has accepted a nomination to run for 2015 Wisconsin State Bar President-elect.

The President-elect serves a one-year term before becoming President. Results of the election will be announced on April 24 and the attorneys who are elected will take office on July 1, 2015.

"I am humbled by this nomination, and proud to be a Wisconsin lawyer. I value our profession and the remarkable people who practice law here," said Deisinger. "A noble profession must do noble things, and the State Bar has the organization and ability to help Wisconsin lawyers accomplish greater things than they can achieve alone. I have experience steering a bar association toward good works in the cause of justice, and I would like the opportunity to do it again."

Deisinger previously served as President of the Milwaukee Bar Association from 2009 to 2010 and has served as President of the Milwaukee Bar Association Foundation since 2011. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and he is a Fellow of the American Bar Association.

Throughout his career, Deisinger has represented a full spectrum of plaintiffs, defendants and petitioners in litigation involving personal injury, product liability, contracts, insurance, intellectual property infringement, business acquisitions and sales, and even maritime accidents. For the last ten years, he has focused his litigation practice on trust, estate and guardianship disputes and on legal professional liability matters in which he represents lawyers and law firms.

As a litigator for more than 30 years, Deisinger has been successful as a trial lawyer and as a creative negotiator and advisor able to achieve effective and practical solutions for his clients. For many years, Deisinger has also served as chair of Reinhart's Ethics Committee.

Deisinger also recently completed training from the University of Maryland as a mediator and is available to mediate civil disputes.

Deisinger earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
