Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren Honored by Wisconsin Law Journal with Diversity in Business Award

Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) is proud to announce that its efforts in diversity and inclusion have been recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal as a Top Firm for 2019 Diversity in Business. This award honors the commitment individuals and organizations make creating diverse and inclusive businesses and communities by putting into practice programs, policies, initiatives and more.

“While we are honored by this recognition for our innovative programs to support our diversity efforts, much work needs to done to improve diversity here and in nearly all law firms around the country,” said Mark Cameli, chair of Reinhart’s Diversity Committee. “We remain committed to that effort and hope to collaborate with others in the community to make Milwaukee a welcoming environment for a diverse workforce in the legal profession.”

Reinhart understands the value of diversity and is fully invested in maintaining an environment that attracts and sustains the diversity of gender, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, and sexual orientation. We believe that a diverse workforce provides the highest value for client services by forging solutions to problems from different perspectives.

Reinhart’s diversity initiatives directly and positively impact the communities where offices are located, including:

• Reinhart Buddy Program – We partner minority law students with Reinhart attorneys in Milwaukee and Madison offices to give students the opportunity to learn about the private sector opportunities available to them;
• Academic Year Minority Clerk Program – Reinhart conducts an academic year program for a minority student to work in a summer associate-type capacity part-time while attending law school;
• Reinhart Scholarship – The firm awards an annual scholarship to the Neighborhood House of Milwaukee’s Youth of the Year.
• Cristo Rey Work-Study Program – Four students from Cristo Rey High School in Milwaukee spend a year working at Reinhart to expose them to various teams at the firm, including practice areas, legal support, and firm operations.
• Cream City Foundation Sponsor – Reinhart is a multi-year sponsor of the Cream City Foundation’s annual Business Equality Luncheon.

Reinhart will be honored during a ceremony on July 24, 2019, at the Marcus Performing Arts Center.
