Attorneys Bob Lightfoot, Tristan Dollinger, Matt DeLange, Jack Howard and Heidi Gabriel each led breakout sessions as a part of the 2024 LeadingAge Wisconsin Conference and 44th Annual Exhibitors Tradeshow. Held from September 25-27 in Green Bay, Wis., Reinhart was a proud presenting sponsor of the event.

Lightfoot presented “Nursing Home Legal Update” and co-presented “Ask a Nurse/Ask A Regulator.” Lightfoot and Dollinger co-presented “An Overview of Skilled Nursing Facility and Assisted Living Project Development” together on project development issues for nursing and assisted living facilities. DeLange presented “Overtime Violations in the Floodlights: How to Stay Out of the Lights” addressing overtime and wage issues for long-term care facilities. Howard and Gabriel presented “Becoming a 501(c)(3)” discussing issues surrounding 501(c)(3) organizations.

Lightfoot is a shareholder and chair of the Reinhart’s Health Care Practice and Long Term Care, Assisted Living and Senior Independent Housing Services Group. He represents the owners and operators of nursing homes and assisted living facilities on operational, regulatory and employment matters, as well as buying, selling and licensing these entities, survey and certification, audits, risk management and HIPAA compliance. He also counsels licensed health care professionals before the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services on personal licensing issues.

Dollinger is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Health Care and Corporate Law practices, where he assists developers, managers and operators of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, independent senior living communities, physician and dental practices, hospices, home health agencies, nonprofit organizations and related industry groups to realize their greatest potential in pursuing better outcomes for the patients, residents and communities they serve.

DeLange is an attorney in Reinhart’s Labor and Employment and Litigation practices. He assists clients in a wide range of employment-related matters, including employment agreements, non-competes, responding to employment claims, wage and hour issues, equal rights issues and contract disputes, and complex litigation.

Howard is an attorney in the Health Care and Corporate Law practices. He advises on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and employment agreements, reviews contracts and assists with licensing and compliance issues. He also advises 501(c)(3) companies with structure and governance work and handles general business law matters.

Gabriel is an attorney in Reinhart’s Corporate Law and Tax practices, where she advises on general corporate transactions and tax issues and is the firm’s authority on the employee retention credit created by the CARES Act of 2020. She works extensively with S corporations, assists nonprofits with operational concerns and applications for federal tax exemption, analyzes the tax consequences of deal structures and designs compensation arrangements for clients’ key employees.
