- Reinhart Attorney Recognized as 'Up and Coming Lawyer'
MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) today announced that labor and employment attorney Brittany Lopez Naleid has been named an "Up and Coming Lawyer" by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Naleid focuses on labor and employment issues, including immigration laws, and has experience in commercial litigation, including product distribution, product liability and intellectual property matters.
In addition to her regular client caseload, Naleid is passionate about pro bono work, frequently representing low-income clients—including victims of domestic abuse—as well as volunteering free legal advice related to civil and family matters at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. She also serves as liaison to the Wisconsin State Bar Board of Governors on behalf of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association, as well as on the Fundraising and Planning Committee of Centro Legal, and is a former co-director of the Legal Information Center.
"Brittany has truly established herself as 'up and coming,' and embodies all of the qualities that this award recognizes," said Allen C. Schlinsog, Jr., shareholder and chair of Reinhart's Litigation Practice. "She is a valued leader within the firm, and a dedicated attorney who brings unique perspective and exceptional skills to bear for each of her clients."
Naleid also is an active member of Reinhart's Diversity Committee, where she organizes, attends and supports events and initiatives to recruit diverse talent and raise the firm's profile as a destination employer in the community. Most recently, she spearheaded the firm's summer intern program for high school students.
"It's an honor to be recognized for the gains I've achieved on behalf of my clients and my work in the community," said Naleid. "I'm humbled to accept this award, and I'd like to thank my colleagues for their nomination."
In 2013, Naleid was selected as a Wisconsin Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in the category of Civil Litigation: Defense.
The prestigious "Up and Coming Lawyer" award honors the rising stars of Wisconsin's legal community that have demonstrated leadership, contributed to their community and achieved successful legal outcomes early in their career. Naleid joins an exclusive group of 25 other attorneys that were chosen from industry-submitted nominations; all have been practicing for eight years or less.
The winners will be honored at a ceremony from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17 at the Harley-Davidson Museum, 400 W. Canal St., in Milwaukee.
