ROCKFORD – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren P.C. (Reinhart) shareholder Jeffery J. Makeever has been named Second Vice President of the Winnebago County Bar Association. Makeever will serve as Vice President for the next two years, after which he will become President. Makeever previously served on the Association's Board of Directors and was President of the Winnebago County Bar Foundation.

The Winnebago County Bar Association promotes and supports the practice of law and the administration of justice according to the highest standards while also serving its members through education, collegiality and opportunities for public service.

Makeever is the managing partner of the firm's Rockford office and chair of Reinhart's Intellectual Property Practice. He serves a wide range of university, individual, and corporate clients in a variety of industries including aerospace, consumer products and components, industrial equipment, medical research and equipment, and consumer software.

Makeever's clientele includes multinational clients headquartered in both the United States and Europe, as well as research universities. He frequently functions as a trusted advisor to senior management and as part of his client's in-house counsel team, providing services such as forward planning and the training of engineering and marketing personnel.

Makeever earned his B.S.E.E. from Ohio Northern University and his J.D., magna cum laude, from John Marshall Law School.
