MILWAUKEE – Jennifer R. D'Amato, member of the Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) Board of Directors and shareholder in the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice, has been named by the Wisconsin Law Journal as one of their 2010 Women in the Law honorees.

"Jennifer is a shining representation of successful women in the legal profession and we are proud to have her as a member of Reinhart's team," said Jerome M. Janzer, Reinhart's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "She makes her clients her priority. Her recognition as a leader in the legal industry and the community is well deserved."

D'Amato specializes in estate and business succession planning for wealthy families. Further, as a member of the firm's Tax-Exempt Organizations team, D'Amato works with public and private charities to help them best fulfill their charitable objectives.

D'Amato serves on several nonprofit planned giving Boards, with a focus on children's issues, including Children's Hospital and Best Buddies. With two children of her own, D'Amato exemplifies a successful working mother. Best Buddies, a nonprofit which fosters friendships between disabled young adults and their non-disabled peers, recently elected her to their advisory board.

D'Amato has lectured as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Business, in the Masters in Taxation Program, and is a frequent lecturer for other organizations on a variety of estate planning issues including various types of sophisticated gift techniques, business succession and charitable planning.

D'Amato earned her Masters of Law with highest honors from DePaul University (Taxation) and earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She graduated with a B.A. from Lawrence University.

A lunch event honoring the Women in the Law will be held May 21, 2010, at the Italian Community Center. Honorees will also be profiled in a special Wisconsin Law Journal magazine to be published in May.
