MADISON – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) is pleased to announce that Shareholder Nathan Wautier’s appointment to the Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corp. (WHPC) board of directors has been approved by Gov. Tony Evers. His term on the board will continue through July 1, 2031.
As a member of the WHPC’s board of directors, Wautier will provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the organization fulfills its mission to preserve, provide and protect affordable housing for low‐ and moderate‐income Wisconsinites. The board sets organizational policies, approves major initiatives and budgets, monitors financial and operational performance and supports the executive team in long-term planning. By leveraging their diverse experience and community perspectives, Wautier and the other board members will guide WHPC’s efforts to deliver sustainable, high-quality housing and strengthen communities statewide.
“I’m excited to serve on the board of WHPC,” said Wautier. “As someone raised in rural northeast Wisconsin and now raising my own family in Madison, I’m committed to supporting the organization’s efforts to protect and strengthen affordable housing throughout our state. Wautier is a member of the firm's Real Estate, Corporate Law and Banking and Finance practices, where his experience and extensive network of long-standing relationships help him deliver superior business and legal outcomes for his clients. He is also co-chair of the firm’s Data Centers Group. Primarily known as a “dirt lawyer” with a nationwide practice specializing in the purchase, sale, development, financing and anything else related to real estate, Wautier is also known as having significant experience with tax incremental financing and other public/private partnerships. He is responsive, pragmatic and takes genuine ownership of his clients’ business needs in helping them assess risk and identify opportunities.
