Kevin Ramakrishna to Present on Affordable Housing Solutions for IMLA

Kevin Ramakrishna will be a presenter for the International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) webinar "Creating Affordable Housing: Madison's Experience" on December 10, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.(CST). Drawing from his extensive experience as a former assistant city attorney for the City of Madison, Wis., Ramakrishna will share insights on innovative approaches to financing and developing affordable housing projects. The CLE-eligible presentation will cover Madison's successful strategies, including the use of tax incremental financing, the creation of an affordable housing fund and density bonuses in exchange for affordability commitments.

Ramakrishna is a shareholder in Reinhart's Real Estate Practice, where he focuses on helping clients accomplish affordable housing and economic development projects on time and within budget. His knowledge of tax incremental financing, land use and public works, along with his extensive background in municipal real estate, enables him to provide innovative counsel to municipalities and private/public partnerships, particularly in the redevelopment of public property into mixed-use developments, including libraries and municipal parking.
