- Jori LaRosa Named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year
MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) is pleased to announce that Attorney Jori LaRosa has been named the firm’s 2025 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year.
“Jori has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her clients and to pro bono service,” said Reinhart CEO Al Orr. “We are proud of the work she has done and continues to do on behalf of the firm.”
LaRosa became this year’s honoree by dedicating more than 200 hours of pro bono legal work to a case pending in the Western District of Wisconsin. She represented an inmate on a constitutional claim under the Eighth Amendment. An interlocutory appeal put the anticipated pretrial proceedings on hold, but LaRosa then agreed to represent the client in appellate proceedings before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, which involved substantial briefing, motions practice and oral argument.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity I’ve had to be a part of Reinhart’s continued work of serving those in our community who are unable to retain counsel,” LaRosa said. “This work is extremely important, and I continue to be inspired by my colleagues’ ongoing dedication to this type of service.”
Reinhart initiated its Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award program in 2009 to recognize the exceptional efforts of attorneys within the firm who demonstrate a long-standing and devoted commitment to pro bono work.
As a member of Reinhart’s Litigation Practice, LaRosa is well-versed in a broad range of litigation matters, including cases involving breaches of contract, ERISA and employee benefits-related litigation, and real estate litigation. She dedicates herself to understanding the nuances of each situation to provide her clients with optimum solutions.
