- Eight Reinhart Attorneys to Present at 72nd Annual IFEBP Employee Benefits Conference
Reinhart’s Employee Benefits Practice will have representation from eight of its shareholders at the 72nd Annual Employee Benefits Conference, held Oct. 25-28 in New Orleans. Hosted by the International Foundation of Employee Benefits Plans (IFEBP), the annual conference brings more than 5,000 industry leaders together to learn about the latest trends and regulations affecting the employee benefits industry.
Mike Joliat, Pam Nissen and Amanda Cefalu will kick off the pre-conference on Oct. 24, presenting the workshop, “You’ve Been Summoned – Best Practices in Litigation, Depositions and Trial Testimony,” which addresses preventing plan litigation while understanding how to prepare for it when it arises.
Bill Tobin’s presentation, “Fraud Prevention Initiatives – Protecting Your Plan Assets,” will take place on Oct. 26 and 27. In it, he will focus on the most common sources of health plan fraud and what administrators should understand in taking preventive measures against it. Stacie Kalmer will also be presenting on Oct. 26, in the session “The Affordable Care Act (ACA) 2.0: The Grandfathered Status.” Stacie will share the latest updates on the ACA and important compliance requirements for health plan administrators.
On Oct. 27, John Mossberg and Ben Choice co-present the session, “Attorneys: Ethical Considerations,” which will cover recent developments in the representation of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) plan stakeholders. Martha Mohs rounds out the Reinhart speakers with the session, “Defined Contribution Plan Risk—Options to Minimize and Mitigate.” Martha will cover how pension and benefit plan administrators can provide choice to participants and manage risk. The presentation will also be repeated on Oct. 28.
