MILWAUKEE – Eight new associates have joined Reinhart (Reinhart) in its Milwaukee office.

Daniel J. Balk III is an attorney in Reinhart’s Health Care Practice. Balk was a 2016 Reinhart Summer Associate. During law school, Balk was a law clerk for the City of Kenosha Attorney's Office, where he drafted memoranda, briefs and answers, coordinated proposals, conducted legal research and generated internal reports on departmental compliance; was a legal intern at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for the Hon. Diane S. Sykes; was an Academic Success Program Leader at Marquette University Law School, where he conducted supplemental learning sessions for first-year students; and was Senior Articles Editor of the Marquette Law Review.

Balk earned his J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and his B.A. from Marquette University.

Derek H. Campbell is a patent attorney in Reinhart's Intellectual Property Law Practice. Campbell focuses his practice on patent counseling and prosecution in the computer science, mechanical and electronics fields. He has experience managing all aspects of patent prosecution, including conducting disclosure meetings, leading brain-storming sessions, preparing patent applications and office action responses, and assisting the development of large patent portfolios. Campbell also has experience reviewing patent license and patent sale agreements, and performing IP litigation support. He has also participated in several pre-trial mediations in IP cases. Prior to law school, Campbell spent seven years in the computer industry working as a software engineer and network administrator.

Campbell earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, and his B.S. in Computer Science from Denison University.

Karyn J. Durkin is an attorney in Reinhart's Employee Benefits Practice. Durkin was a 2016 Reinhart Summer Associate. During law school, she interned at the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission in the Mediation Clinic; worked in-house at a multinational corporation based in the greater Milwaukee area; was a research assistant to a Marquette University Law School professor, where she researched issues pertaining to volunteer entrepreneurship clinics at law schools nationwide; served as an Academic Success Program Leader at Marquette University Law School, where she provided supplemental instruction to first year students in contracts and property law; was a legal volunteer at the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic and the Guardianship Clinic, and was Articles Editor for the Marquette Law Review. She currently volunteers at the Eviction Defense Project Clinic and the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Durkin earned her J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Rebecca M. Lindstrom is an attorney in Reinhart's Health Care Practice. She advises health care clients on a broad spectrum of regulatory, transactional and compliance-related matters. Prior to joining Reinhart, Lindstrom was an associate in the Chicago office of a Los Angeles-based Am Law 100 firm, where she represented clients primarily in health care, general tort, employment and labor, and insurance coverage issues. She is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin and Illinois, and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Court for the Norther District of Illinois.

Lindstrom earned her J.D, from Marquette University Law School, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Marquette University.

Sara McNamara is an attorney in Reinhart's Banking/Bankruptcy Practice. McNamara was a 2016 Reinhart Summer Associate. She works with a range of clients involved in the financial industry to provide general legal counsel in relation to corporate governance, capital formation, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales and purchases, and finance transactions, as well as bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships and workouts. During law school, McNamara was a judicial intern at the Wisconsin Supreme Court for Justice N. Patrick Crooks, where she researched and prepared bench memoranda; was Editor in Chief of Volume 100 of the Marquette Law Review, where she helped publish articles and comment on a wide variety of legal topics; and was a volunteer with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic to assist in providing pro bono work to members of the community.

McNamara earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Marquette University.

Alexandria J. Neal is an attorney in Reinhart's Real Estate Practice. Neal was a 2016 Reinhart Summer Associate. During law school, Neal was a legal intern at the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut for the Hon. Vanessa L. Bryant, where she researched and analyzed case and statutory law on various issues, drafted preliminary court opinions, and drafted bench memoranda on various issues; and was Associate Editor for the Northwestern University Law Review.

Neal earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, and her B.B.A., cum laude, from The George Washington University.

Christopher (CJ) C. Rundell is an attorney in Reinhart's Health Care Practice, where he assists clients with regulatory, compliance and business matters. Prior to joining the firm, CJ was an associate at a Milwaukee-area law firm. During law school, CJ was a judicial intern at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for the Hon. Diane S. Sykes, where he researched and prepared bench memoranda; was a research assistant to Dean Joseph Kearney at Marquette University Law School, where he conducted physical and electronic archival research regarding riparian rights, the public trust doctrine and the Chicago lakefront; was a law clerk with the in-house legal department of a multinational corporation based in Waukesha, Wisconsin; was a law clerk in the Milwaukee office of a national law firm; and was Note and Comment Editor for the Marquette Law Review.

CJ earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, and his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.

Melissa A. Zabkowicz is an attorney in Reinhart's Corporate Practice. Zabkowicz was a 2016 Reinhart Summer Associate. During law school, Zabkowicz was a student attorney with the Wisconsin Innocence Project; an Academic Enhancement Program Leader at Marquette University Law School, where she provided teaching assistance in a first-year criminal law course; served as a Managing Editor on the Wisconsin Law Review; was a competitor and coach on the Wisconsin Moot Court Board; and was a competitor on the Wisconsin Mock Trial Team.

Zabkowicz earned her J.D. (graduated first in her class) from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
