- Danielle Marocchi Appointed as President of Association for Women Lawyers
MILWAUKEE – Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. (Reinhart) is pleased to announce the election of attorney Danielle Marocchi as president of the Association for Women Lawyers (AWL), effective July 1. She will serve a one-year term and provide strategic leadership for the organization and the Board of Directors, implement initiatives, develop programming, strengthen member engagements and foster professional development opportunities.
“This is a great opportunity because I’ve seen firsthand how this organization can positively benefit women and the community,” Marocchi said. “I’m excited to connect with AWL’s members on a personal level, help them in their profession, and hopefully have a positive impact.”
Established in 1981, the southeastern Wisconsin-based association’s mission is to connect and support all women lawyers by providing them with resources, networks and community. Its members range from public to private practitioners, solo shops to large firms, members of the judiciary, along with in-house counsel, educators and lawyers practicing non-traditional careers. AWL also hosts Women Judges’ Night, a premier annual event that celebrates women judges and women leaders in the bar, and encourages young women to pursue a legal career.
Marocchi has been a longstanding member of AWL and joined the Board of Directors five years ago to connect with other women in her profession and local community. During her tenure, she has served as the Association’s Secretary, Director of Membership, Director of Special Events, and, most recently, as President Elect.
Marocchi is a member of Reinhart’s Litigation Practice, where she represents clients in a wide variety of matters, including Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and employee benefits litigation. She is also a member of Reinhart’s Fiduciary Litigation team, where she represents clients in actions involving trust and estate disputes. Her experience also includes handling product liability claims, insurance coverage disputes, and general corporate disputes.
