Abby McGowan and Stella Furlano Present Webinar on Managing Resident and Representative Rights for WALA

Reinhart attorneys Abby McGowan and Stella Furlano co-presented the webinar “Managing Resident and Representative Rights: Understanding Powers of Attorney, Guardianship, and Advance Directives in Resident Care,” for members of the Wisconsin Assisted Living Association (WALA) on Tuesday, October 21. In it, McGowan and Furlano provided an overview of legal instruments of decision-making authority for residents and their representatives and reviewed the tools that affect a resident’s rights at each stage of their journey in care, from pre-admission through discharge and transfers.

McGowan is an attorney in Reinhart’s Trusts and Estates Practice, where she advises clients on the complex issues surrounding trust, estate and fiduciary litigation, from compliance counseling and litigation prevention all the way through trial and appeal.

Furlano is an attorney in Reinhart’s Trusts and Estates Practice, where she provides dedicated counsel to clients facing intricate estate planning and family law issues – with a special focus as a member of the firm’s Trust, Estate and Fiduciary Litigation Team.
