Audits and Training
In keeping with our goal of helping our clients avoid employment-related litigation, we assist our clients with audits of their labor and employment practices and with employment-related training.
We conduct on-site audits to determine compliance with federal, state and local laws governing employment-related subjects including, but not limited to, employee compensation (e.g., overtime, vacation pay and commission pay), independent contractor status and employee health and safety (e.g., employee right-to-know laws and hazard communication and bloodborne pathogen programs).
We conduct client seminars to train supervisors on employment-related subjects, such as how to conduct sexual harassment and other internal investigations; how to document job performance problems; how to handle employment terminations; how to prevent workplace violence and how to minimize the abuse of intermittent family and medical leave. We tailor these seminars to the specific interests and needs of our clients.
