Robert E. Meldman is Of Counsel in the firm's Tax, Business Law and International Practices. Bob is respected by his peers and opponents alike as the "dean of tax law." He has built a reputation as a superb litigating tax attorney, comfortable both in the courtroom and across the negotiating table. He is also one of the very few tax attorneys to have argued before the U.S. Supreme Court.
He is an experienced teacher, having served as an adjunct professor of law at Marquette University Law School and the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. For more than 30 years, he also served as an adjunct professor in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Master of Taxation program and was named an executive in residence to the Deloitte & Touche Center for multistate taxation at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Many tax professionals in the state have benefited from taking Bob's courses. He has also been a mentor to young professionals who have practiced with him, encouraging them to aspire to excellence in the practice of law.
