Melanie S. Lee is a shareholder in the firm's Real Estate Practice. Her practice focuses on real estate transactions including development, acquisition, leasing, financing and construction contracts. Melanie has recently worked with clients to maximize the potential of distressed properties, especially mixed-use developments. 

Representative Matters and Experience

• Negotiation of numerous construction contracts for nonprofit and for-profit owners with a variety of delivery methods including design-build, construction management and traditional architect/general contract and with a variety of payment structures including cost-plus, cost-plus with guaranteed maximum price and stipulated sum
• Assisting clients with the acquisition of distressed properties through short-sale, foreclosure and note purchase methods
• Assisting lenders and borrowers through the work-out process
• Creation of timeshare communities within condominium developments consisting of single-family homes and attached townhomes in a Wisconsin resort community
• Conversion of an apartment complex combined with new town house construction into a mixed-use residential and commercial condominium in an urban Wisconsin community
