The Business Journal of Milwaukee included comments from Marty McLaughlin in the article, "Waiting and watching: Uncertainty keeps businesses out of M&A activity."

The article covered the recent downturn in mergers and acquisitions in the Milwaukee area because of new lending standards and a shortage of cash, as well as economic uncertainty.

As prices of deals drop, many business owners aren't interested in selling the company for less than what they think it is worth. Marty said privately held business owners who were considering a sale may delay doing so until prices recover.
