Commercial Real Estate: Environmental Considerations Webinar

Please join us for the fifth in a series of eight webinars presented by Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. in conjunction with the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Webinar topics will cover most of the chapters from our recently published book Commercial Real Estate Transactions in Wisconsin, and will, in effect, constitute a commercial real estate law course. The authors of many of the chapters in the book will present a webinar either to introduce you to the nuances of, or further educate you on their topic of expertise.

Whether you're able to attend one or all eight sessions, we'd love to have you join us. Below are details for the fifth webinar, which will be presented by Raymond M. Roder, covering the topic of Commercial Real Estate: Environmental Considerations.

Our hope is that these webinars will be a useful tool in advancing your real estate transaction and development knowledge by providing you a concentrated course in real estate law. And, if there is sufficient participation, at the completion of the webinars in May, we hope you can join us in person for a celebratory "graduation" networking reception!

Please see the full list of this webinar series below.

What You Will Learn in the Commercial Real Estate: Environmental Considerations Webinar

  • How the work product of environmental due diligence can be used in real estate transactions to minimize a client's potential post-transaction environmental liabilities
  • What's changed in the scope of environmental due diligence since 1980, when the Superfund was passed, to the present
  • How the work product of environmental due diligence can be used in real estate transactions to minimize a client's potential post-transaction environmental liabilities
  • Why it's still imperative to do environmental due diligence despite accommodations in federal and state environmental laws made since 1980 to lessen the potential liability for investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites.
  • What we've learned since 1980 about the lawyer's role in the due diligence process
